Taking a Turn: Players take it in turns to select a cell or "bowl" on the board. You may not select an empty bowl. You achieve this by moving the mouse over the board and clicking the mouse in your selected bowl.

The number of beans in each bowl is shown in the top left of the bowl.

The player removes all the beans from that bowl and places one of them in the neighbouring bowl and continues round the board, placing 1 bean in the next neighbouring bowl until all the beans are placed.

The player then removes all the beans from the "next" bowl and adds them to their total score. This happens automatically.

It is then the turn of the opposing player to select a bowl.

Play moves in a clockwise direction. ie. left to right on the top row, right to left on the bottom row. Once you have reached the rightmost bowl on the top line, the next bowl is the rightmost bowl of bottom line, and so on.

Play continues until one player has won more beans than their opponent can possibly win given the number of available beans still on the board.

Starting a New Game: You may start a new game at any point by clicking "New Game". You have the choice of making the first move (by clicking on a bowl) or choosing "You Start" at which point I, (Tony B), will choose a cell and make the first move.

You may alter the number of beans in each bowl by pressing 1 - 9 on the keyboard before the game is started.
